Biography

Dr. Nicoletta Orphanou graduated from the First Faculty of Medicine, Charles University in Prague. With a great interest in cardiomyopathies she spent time as a research fellow at the dedicated centre of Molecular Cardiology and Inherited Cardiac Diseases - Fondazione Salvatore Maugeri, Pavia Italy.

She subsequently trained in cardiology at Nicosia General Hospital and General Hospital of Athens "G.Gennimatas" in Greece, while being an honorary attending fellow at Onassion Heart Surgery Centre at the Centre of Inherited Cardiac Diseases. 

​

As a consultant cardiologist, she further pursued a fellowship in echocardiography at the Royal Brompton Hospital, London, focusing on advanced transesophageal echocardiography of valve disorders and echocardiography in acute care medicine. 

​

Dr. Orphanou aims to ensure optimal care for her patients through fostering a strong doctor-patient relationship and effective communication.
